A trip to the botanic gardens...

I went looking for flowers and was met with a vast array of greenery. The thunderstorm last night washed off the dust and made everything a little brighter...

These images were all taken at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens.

The image of the boy was fun, he had run a little further away than he should have and his mother was calling with increasing frustration. The boy was calling back, "you must come to fern garden!" As I walked past him he was talking to himself, "you must come to the fern garden for it is my favourite!" I kid you not! :)

I love the gardens - such a beautiful place to visit and go for a walk. Nice pics Mal.

Do you know the difference between Botanic and Botanical gardens?

I know we discussed this. Something to do with the science of the plants involved? Maybe we could discuss it tomorrow while we wander through?

I didn't know that there was a difference...
I love that pine cone!
How wierd is that kid! Do you think that he was quoting a children's movie or storybook?

I just looked up Botanic and Botanical and the both relate to science or study of plants... So I'm not sure if there is a difference now???

More research required...

I live in the desert so anything 'green' lasts for about 2 months during springtime. Love the colors~

Missed your posting of late Malcolm. Great images. I am normally a cyber visitor that doesn't post, but I haven't seen any activity and thought it best to remind you that there are always people who visit here and like your style.

Cheers
