Wow, this wedding photographer gig is both hard work and fun... I certainly have a greater respect for what they do having run around for a couple of days taking images and then sitting down to process them.
The two images I have here are from Mark & Alicia's wedding on Friday and Ruben & Chantel's wedding on Sunday. They were all fun to work with and I appreciate the experience. It's fun to be around people who are both very excited and very distracted by proceedings.

PS: If you know of any good photo locations around Melbourne could you please pass them on? We had a hiccup where a location needed to be booked and wasn't so we had to try and find another, at very short notice. You can imaging the running around and the pressure applied to both bride and groom and the photographers.

There are so many great locations in Melbourne I wouldn't know where to begin.... It all depends on your location and the personality of the subjects!
Great work! How exciting that all your hard work is paying off. I guess being a country gal I have the idealistic ideas; luna park (outside of), williamstown or st kilda beach, anywhere in Birrerung Mar, I love train station photos in black and white. No doubt you'll be scouring the countryside from now on!

One couple called Monsalvat and asked for a price but didn't think to book. The venue has a "one bride at a time" policy. Imagine their surprise and dissapointment when they couldn't get in! We frantically tried to find another venue and ended up at the reception centre. It all worked out in the end but we all could have done without the extra stress...
It didn't help that the initial (house) images were in Thomastown, the ceremony was in Eltham and the reception was in Epping...
Meaning we had to drive all over Melbourne and that didn't leave much time to make alternative arrangements...
I don't understand people that want to spend their wedding day driving around...
I think if it was me, (If I ever find someone to marry...) I'd try to choose locations for the ceremony and reception that would double as photographic settings. (or within walking distance or 10 mins drive, of...) If the ceremony and reception are the same location, so much the better.
But that's just me... I'm lazy like that....
